TESTIMONIAL

"While on the subject of el frio frostbite weather, hell, I am here to reveal to my fellow diehards the ultimate in mother nature defiance. A Miss Carol Davis, in response to her dedicated waterfowler boyfriend's comments about winter duck hunting conditions, has brought out the best insulated longjohns I have ever found. New fabric and garment technology in her BODY SOCKS really does the trick when the temperature plummets. I do not like deep, dangerous cold, but these products have proven themselves to perform under the most outrageous conditions that have traditionally kept me from goin' hunting. I hate not goin' hunting, so thank God for these unbelievable products."

Frequently Asked Questions
What size will I wear?

First, check out the sizing guide on the order page. Keep in mind that this thermal long underwear runs large to begin with. And the four-way stretch fabric really stretches to accommodate long torsos, arms, and legs. We can guarantee you that you will wear a smaller size in Web Foots® Body Socks than you normally wear in other non-four-way-stretch clothing. You want the suits to fit snug and with the four-way stretch fabric, even when they do fit snug, they are extremely comfortable. The fabric gives in all directions to allow the wearer full range of motion with no restriction of movement, so do not be afraid to order a smaller size than you normally would.

There are examples of heights and weights for each suit size on the order form page. Here's another example: a woman we recently outfitted is 5' 7" and weighs 165 lbs. She said she normally wears mediums and larges in other clothing but the small body sock fit her perfectly. Her husband is 5' 11" and weighs 180 lbs. He said he normally wears larges and XLs but took the medium! Most guys insist they will wear XXL but the majority of them end up with the large size. Like I said, they run big to begin with and really stretch to accommodate the body beautifully. If you are still unsure which size to order, call us at 501.835.6331or email sales@cdsportswear.com and we'll be happy to advise you.

What's the difference in the four styles of body suits?

All four styles of Web Foots® Body Socks are made from the exact same material, they just have different features. Each suit will keep you equally as warm, dry and odor free. Style number 1 and 4 are exactly alike except Style 1 has the zippered rear flap and Style 4 does not. Style number 2 and 3 are exactly alike except Style 3 has the zippered rear flap and Style 2 does not. Styles 1 and 4 have knit cuffs at the wrist and ankles and Style 2 and 3 have the stirrup feet and the anchoring thumb holes in the wrist cuffs. They are all the same weight, same level of warmth, all are washable and best of all, everything is 100% MADE IN THE USA. Go USA !!

Can I Exchange?

You bet. Because people have a tendency to order too large, we exchange all the time. You'll pay shipping back to us and we'll cover the shipping of the first size exchange back to you but after that, you'll pay.

Please try on your suit at home as soon as you receive it and wear it around the house for a few minutes. If you need to exchange, do so right away. Do not wear your suit out in the elements and then decide you want to exchange sizes. We only exchange for different sizes if you have not worn the suit outside.

Since shipping expenses eat into profits so much, we highly recommend that you study the sizing guide and order accordingly. Please try to heed our sizing advice since we outfit people every day with this fabric. Thanks.

What's the guarantee?

We guarantee that you will receive a product 100% free of defects and that our garments will keep you warm. We guarantee that the fabric wicks perspiration well, breathes, is antimicrobial and machine washable. You must follow our washing and drying instructions (on the website, on the labels in the suits, and in our product catalogs) to have these features guaranteed.

Only once have we gotten a return because the person said the suit did not keep them warm but as it turned out, this person had really bad circulation and diabetes health problems. Ordinarily, our suits work wonderfully for people with these types of problems. Every body is just different.

We did recently receive the first ever "Five Star Review" for technical wear from Alaska Professional Hunter's Magazine. You know if our long underwear works that well in Alaska, it's going to work equally as well in other geographic locations!

How do I care for my thermal long underwear?

Again, wash in cold/cool water with powdered detergent. Liquid detergents are oil based and are hard on all the high-performance, technical fabrics out on the market. The suits and socks are nearly dry when they go through the washing spin cycle. Either shake out and line dry or toss in the dryer on the very lowest setting, fluff, and they are literally dry in about 2-4 minutes. Do not wash in very hot water with liquid detergents then throw in a hot dry for a long time. This will harm the integrity of the fabric and we cannot guarantee the products against such misuse. Do not use fabric softeners, do not bleach, do not dry clean. Cool water, powdered detergent and a cool dryer or hang to dry is all that is necessary to keep them in great shape and wearing for a very long time.

What's the temperature rating for this fabric?

The manufacturer of this fabric does not give us temperature ratings since everyone's tolerance for cold is so different and there is no way to tell what the outdoor conditions and climate in your particular area will be when you wear it. We can only tell you that this fabric is warm. And you can count on cutting down on layering by about half because of it. It will only take you a time or two outdoors with this long underwear to determine how to layer for your conditions. Some people are in such need of thermal protection that they have another protective layer and their outer layer over our suits. Other persons report they are so warm, they no longer need the intermediate layer and go directly to a very lightweight, waterproof outer layer. Everyone is different in their protection and cold needs.

Is it waterproof?

No. The fabric is not waterproof. It is hydrophobic which means that it REPELS water. Water will bead on the outside of the suit and this is why it is so effective at wicking perspiration away from the skin. The minute you break a sweat it goes to work to quickly move that moisture away from your skin and expel it out through the fibers. It wicks even better if you have a breathable layer over your suits. Many people do wear this thermal long underwear under their dry suits for cold-water scuba, under waders for duck and goose hunting and with cold-weather fly fishing gear. Even though it is not waterproof, it works great in wet situations!

How long have you been in business? Is this a credible company?

Carol Davis has been producing thermal garments since 1995 when she introduced a line of high-performance, cold-weather outerwear for women. Always looking for a "niche," she started specializing in thermal undergarments in 1998. Please look over the press reviews and testimonials for comments on her products and credibility.

Can I wear my long underwear all by itself?

You can. But if you run through the briars and you run through the brambles and you run through the places where the rabbits wouldn't go . . . we can't necessarily guarantee you won't snag them all up. We can't be responsible for you streakers out there!
